Services

In-house data recovery for the devices people actually depend on.

From logical deletion to mechanical failure, OmniData handles complex storage problems inside our North York lab. Your device is assessed and handled inside our North York recovery lab with privacy-first intake and chain-of-custody practices. Our privacy-first workflow keeps recovery work in house with professional imaging, firmware access, flash recovery technology, PC-3000, Rusolut VNR, and ISO Class 5 laminar flow clean bench capability where appropriate.

Privacy-first in-house lab

Your device stays with OmniData.

OmniData is not a collection point for drives, phones, or storage media. Recovery work is handled inside our North York lab, so the recovery process stays within our controlled lab workflow.

Fewer handoffs

Your media stays under one lab workflow from intake to return, reducing unnecessary movement of private data.

Clear chain of custody

Devices are assessed, recovered, and prepared for return by OmniData technicians with privacy-conscious handling and documented recovery steps.

Privacy-oriented recovery

The recovery process is built around controlled access, careful handling, and keeping customer data inside the lab.

Clear pricing guidance

Know the recovery path before you approve the work.

Data recovery cost depends on the actual failure, not only the device type or capacity. OmniData begins with a free assessment so the likely recovery level, risk, timing, and expected cost can be explained before chargeable recovery work begins.

Tier 1

Logical recovery

For stable devices affected by deleted files, accidental formatting, corrupted partitions, damaged file systems, or other logical access problems.

Tier 2

Drive-level recovery

For unstable reads, bad sectors, firmware problems, electrical faults, or failures requiring stabilization and controlled imaging before files can be reconstructed.

Tier 3

Physical-damage recovery

For clicking, dropped, contaminated, liquid-damaged, or mechanically failed devices requiring controlled physical handling and a longer recovery process.

Free assessment. No paid recovery work begins without your approval.

Donor parts, expedited service, RAID complexity, destination media, and shipping can affect the final quote. These items are explained before approval. For data recovery cases, if no recoverable data is available, there is no recovery fee.

How to Avoid Costly Mistakes When Choosing a Data Recovery Service

Before handing over a failed drive, phone, RAID, or memory card, know what to ask. A real recovery lab should explain where your device goes, what work is done in house, and what happens if no recovery is possible.

FAQ

Answers before you power the device on again.

Can data be recovered from a physically damaged USB drive?

Often, yes. If the memory and microscopic traces are intact, technicians can bypass the damaged interface and image the memory safely.

Can deleted files be recovered from an SSD?

Sometimes, but SSD TRIM can permanently clear deleted data. Stop using the drive immediately and have it assessed as soon as possible.

My portable drive was dropped and is not recognized. What should I do?

Disconnect it and avoid repeated scans or power attempts. Clicking, grinding, slow reading, or failure to mount can indicate a serious problem; continued use may cause further damage and make recovery more difficult.

Can data be recovered from a water-damaged phone?

In many cases, yes. The original device may need careful cleaning and stabilization before encrypted data can be extracted safely.

Can manufacturer service recover data from a dead phone?

Manufacturer service often focuses on replacement or reset. A data recovery lab focuses on preserving data access first when the original device state allows it.
